SKETCHUP: Create a Caravan 3 (Mobile Toilet)
INTRODUCTION
In this, tutorial we are going to design a mobile toilet that will be attached to the caravan.
PREPARATION
Continue from Previous Tutorial or download a Startup File.
STEPS
1) Open the Startup File.
Save as papaw-cabin-3.
2) Create the base for the Mobile Toilet.
2.1) Orbit to the back of the cabin.
2.2) Add a rectangle of 8’ x 4’.
2.3) Using Offset Tool, create inner rectangle with 1’ gap from the outer rectangle.
2.4) Double-click the inner rectangle, then right-click and select Make Group.
2.5) Double-click outer rectangle, then press [DELETE] key.
2.6) Double-click the rectangle above to edit the group.
2.7) Using Arc Tool, create a Half Circle shape.
2.8) Double-click the Half Circle.
2.9) Push it up for 7’ height.
2.10) Select the Flat Face of the Half-Cylinder shape.
2.11) Push it 1’ away.
2.12) Apply the same cabin wall material.
3) Create a dome for the mobile toilet.
3.1) Using Move Tool, move the mobile toilet 10’ away from the cabin along Green-Axis.
3.2) Orbit to the other side of the mobile toilet.
3.3) Double-click the top face.
3.4) Using Protractor Tool, position the mouse pointer over the end-point as shown below until the Protractor turn red.
3.5) Click the end point, drag to the other end point and click once.
3.6) Position the mouse pointer perpendicular to the line above, Press [CTRL] key and mouse the mouse a little bit downward.
3.7) Type 90 to make the copy of the half circle perpendicular to the original

The following steps require the use of Follow Me tool which is available in Large Toolset Toolbar.

3.8) Draw a line to split the Half Circle.
3.9) Using Follow Me Tool, begin pushing the left side of the half circle by following the red path as shown below.
Keep on pushing…
3.10) Outcome:
3.11) Attach the mobile toilet tp the cabin.
3.12) Save.
